Banff: A Photo Diary

Sometimes it takes a mountain to remind me just how small I am.

Especially if that mountain towers 3,000 meters above my head, spotted with green pines and snow-capped peaks.

As I spent a week scrambling through the Canadian Rockies, I was reminded over and over again of the power of the universe we live in. With mountains towering over me and turquoise streams rushing beside me, it’s easy to forget any problems that were plaguing my mind just moments before. Instead, it’s a reminder of the fact that the earth existed long before me, and will exist for a long time afterwards.

So thank you Alberta, the land of baby bunnies and pudgy squirrels and sweeping glaciers, for a humbling week.
