Welcome to the city of eternal spring!
Medellín is one of the greatest cities in Colombia (if not the world!) and often a favorite of travelers and locals alike. With it’s year-round good weather, friendly locals, and bursting paisa culture, there are plenty of reasons why many argue this is the best city in Colombia.
But Medellín is also a city built on resilience, with a story marked by an especially violent period in Colombia’s history. For decades, drug cartels and guerillas ruled the streets of the city. Nevertheless, Medellín has worked tirelessly to overcome it’s dark past, and these days is a city characterized by it’s art, music, and spirit — from the bustling music halls in the centro to the colorful murals in Comuna 13.
There’s a lot to see in this extraordinary city, which is why I figured it deserved a video all it’s own! Plus, I needed an excuse to explore my new home base, and I think I made the right choice, don’t you?
